Eng. Demewez Demeke is a mechanical manufacturing engineer and researcher specializing in advanced manufacturing, aviation systems, and applied engineering research. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Gondar and two Master's degrees with Gold Medal honors in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering from Addis Ababa University and Manufacturing Technology from the Federal Technical Vocational Training Institute. Before joining Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopian Aviation University as a Researcher, she served in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, including as Department Head of Manufacturing Technology, where she led curriculum development, engineering innovation, and hands-on product development initiatives. Her work has included the design and development of engineering solutions that promote practical learning and industrial problem-solving. At Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopian Aviation University, her research focuses on improving operational efficiency, safety, and decision-making through the application of advanced manufacturing methodologies, machine learning, simulation, and Industry 4.0 technologies. Her research interests include additive manufacturing, robotics and automation, aerospace systems, sustainable manufacturing, transportation engineering, safety engineering, and human-centered design. Through her work, she is committed to advancing intelligent, safe, and sustainable engineering solutions that bridge manufacturing and aviation while supporting technological innovation and workforce development.
